Light Path is a view (generally fixed) that shows the status of the primary elements in the light path:

This view is currently displayed on two LOUIs; DeVeny and IGRINS Proxy. At DCT, there are three main common elements in the light path common in all instruments:

  • Mirror Cover
    • possible values: Open, Closed, PartiallyOpen
  • Instrument Cover
    • value in inches with +19.86 indicating fully closed and 0.0 indicating fully open
  • Fold Mirror
    • value in mm with ~240 indicating fully extended in the beam.
