The complexity and variety of the current instrumentation at Anderson Mesa, combined with the greatly increasednumber increased number of users, including students, necessitates a more formal procedure for observer training than has been the case in the past. At the same time, observer training needs to be done without putting an undue burden on any individuals or partner institutions. This memo seeks to regularize the procedure for training people to use the telescopes and instruments at Anderson Mesa.
